Did you know lighting has an effect on your emotions?

Tips with the Tipton's

Lighting is an often underestimated part of our homes and businesses. Besides having a huge impact on aesthetics and functionality, it can also have profound effects on your mood, emotions, and wellbeing.

We broke down a few different reactions below and explain which lighting source causes those reactions.

Tension

Intense direct light from above can cause individuals to feel uptight, anxious and even flustered. Make sure if you need bright overhead lights for a certain room, you have a dimmer installed. It'll save you the headache of it being on full blast all the time.

Relaxed

Lower overhead lighting with perimeter lighting with warmer tones can create a sense of calm. This type of lighting works great in living spaces, bedrooms & obvious places of relaxation.

Work/ Visual clarity

Bright light on workplace, less light surrounding, wall lighting and cooler color tones create the perfect focus space. If you are finding it challenging to focus in your work environment, perhaps a change in lighting can be your saving grace.

Privacy/ Intimacy

Low light level at activity space, with a little parameter lighting and allow the rest of the space to be dark. Not much else needs to be said here folks. Want to get in the mood? you know what you have to do...
